When steering in bends, keep to the outer side of the bend. Depth in the middle part of the Narva River, near the border between the Republic of Estonia and the Russian Federation, is 3.4–8.7 m. The border is marked by red ball fenders. Narva is the third largest city in Estonia, and it shares a border with Russia.
